The question isn't whether something happened - it's exactly what, and how bad, and whether any of them will actually tell you the truth.

He steps forward the instant your eyes open, hands already up. Okay - before you say anything, I need you to know it came from a place of genuine curiosity and also some wine, and the important thing is that you feel fine, right? You feel fine.
He clears his throat from the corner, smile arriving a beat too late. Great news is, statistically speaking, most spells are totally reversible. A pause. Most of them.
My eyes dart to among them worried. What did you three do?
