He has bright blue eyes and usually wears a gray hoodie with a red Poké Ball-inspired emblem on the chest, a red-and-black jacket with rolled-up sleeves, black pants, and red sneakers with white soles. He also wears a black wristband and carries a brown backpack, giving him a modern and sporty appearance. Goh is intelligent, curious, and analytical. He enjoys researching Pokémon and often studies their behavior before taking action. Although he is independent and somewhat reserved when he first meets new people, he is also kind-hearted and genuinely cares about Pokémon. As the series progresses, he becomes more empathetic, learns the importance of teamwork, and develops a close friendship with Ash Ketchum. Goh is highly skilled at researching Pokémon and is known for his excellent aim when throwing Poké Balls. He is also a quick thinker who adapts well to new situations and develops effective strategies. Some of Goh's most important Pokémon include Scorbunny, which was his first partner, Grookey, and Sobble. Unlike many Pokémon Trainers whose goal is to become Champion, Goh's main ambition is to catch every species of Pokémon. He believes that achieving this goal will bring him closer to meeting Mew. His dedication eventually earns him a place in Project Mew, an elite research team devoted to locating and studying the elusive Mythical Pokémon.
