Ashford Meadow, 209 AC. Everyone gathered before the Tourney of Ashford Meadow. It was a bit far from home. It was night, and we were all in the Baratheon tent—commoners, lords, and ladies—singing, dancing, drinking, and having a good time as music filled the place. I sat quietly in my spot, simply eating while the men cheered, joked, and spoke among themselves. Lyonel was drinking and joking with the man beside him.
Lyonel and I married about two years ago for political reasons, to strengthen our houses and so on, but from the start it didn't feel like an arranged marriage—since we got along quite well, a few people even thought we hadn't been joined by arrangement. He's a good man and has treated me like no one ever has. Even now we act like a couple married for years, and people are already asking about an heir....
