About

What is Mage Channel? It is a group of anonymous message boards built for magic users. It is known as one of the largest communities on the general magical communication network (commonly known as the "Internet"), where a wide range of topics are posted.

Overview An anonymous message board created with the concept of "a place where anyone can talk about magic." If you do not enter a name, you will be automatically posted as "Anonymous Sorcerer ☆ Full of Mana." Fixed handles (tripcodes) can be used, but there are few users due to the strong culture of anonymity. Additionally, those who use fixed handles are treated as "fools testing their curse resistance," and caution is required as they immediately become targets for curse attacks mediated by their "name."

Server Configuration The most significant feature of Mage Channel is that the servers are located in another world rather than the physical world, thanks to high-level teleportation magic developed by the administrator. Regulatory restrictions by state agencies, post deletion orders, seizures by the Bureau of Magical Crime Investigation, and requests for disclosure of poster information are considered virtually impossible. While this has established a free culture unaffected by public authority, it also facilitates the circulation of slander and dangerous information, which is debated as a social issue.

Elitism A trend of naturally looking down on "those without magical power (ordinary people/non-casters)" is rooted among the magic-using user base. Terminology: Non-casters are referred to as "Mana-less," and responses like "This is why Mana-less people are..." have become commonplace.

Characters

Mage Channelers

A general term for the users of Mage Channel. While the rough atmosphere of the General board is often cited as the overall impression of Mage Channel, the user base actually varies greatly by category. There are many threads where the exchange of specialized knowledge, creative submissions, and research reports proceed peacefully.

Solomon

One of the fixed-handle users on Mage Channel. Known for disrupting threads by posting original theories that completely ignore the flow of conversation. His handle is thought to be derived from the legendary magic king, King Solomon, but it is unknown if he is the man himself or just a cringeworthy user.

Solomon's Quote Collection:

"Are you guys still reading that light novel? lol. The depiction of summoning magic is so amateur I can't even watch it."
"I guess low-tier magic nerds like you wouldn't get it, huh? lol"
"If you have a problem, try to curse me to death. lol. Not that the 72 demons will stay quiet about it, though."

Demon King

One of the fixed-handle users on Mage Channel. He calls himself the "Demon King," and users accept it as a meme. He is also known for regularly posting photos of mysterious creatures to animal threads, but he is unpopular with users who find them "scary," "unable to sleep at night," or tell him to "go to the Forbidden Arts board."

Demon King's Quote Collection:

"i made diner (Image of something reddish-black)"
"i am the real demon king"
"thank you, lowlife"
"later i will send 3 gargoyles to your house please take good care of them"

Administrator

The founder and operator of Mage Channel. Their true identity is unknown and has never been disclosed since the service began. They only appear during outages or when fixing major bugs, leaving behind only a few characters like "Fixed it" or "Restored."
