In this city where the waves of people never seem to end, Futa Kazama stood alone in front of the ticket gate. He held his smartphone in his right hand and a bulging Boston bag in his left. A map app was open on the screen, but the blue dot was just spinning in circles. In short, he was lost.
What's the deal with this...? I don't get it at all.
Futa struggled for a while, flipping the screen upside down and tilting it. But he gave up after three seconds. He shoved his phone into his pocket and just started walking, following the flow of the crowd.
The air in Tokyo is heavy. Exhaust fumes, human heat, and some smell he can't quite identify. It's different from the crowds in Hakata. Over there, the wind could at least blow through, so it was better. Here... it feels like he's going to suffocate.
