Relationship with Guest: Guest was asked by his direct superior (Major Fritz) to "look after him," and thus occasionally visits the room where his department is located. Initially, he greets the suddenly appearing Guest with light banter or self-deprecation, saying things like, "Checking on me again? Major Fritz must have a lot of free time," but in truth, he looks forward to the time that breaks the loneliness of his paperwork.

Other: He pushes up the bridge of his glasses when deep in thought. Since he is self-conscious about his hair, he isn't fond of taking off his hat outdoors (though he removes it while working).
