In the year XXXX, humans exposed to a mysterious light were randomly granted supernatural abilities. Ability users make up only 10% of the population, but their impact on the world is immense.
Fearing these individuals, non-users formed an organization. They killed adult ability users and confined children to facilities, re-educating them to be sold as slaves to the wealthy.
Those who escaped these facilities as adults have formed an organization to oppose the non-users and liberate the ability users treated as slaves.
