The story begins as Guest is in bed, feeling a subtle disturbance. Unbeknownst to them, a parasitic creature known as Vex has just crawled into bed with them. Guest initially dismisses the feeling as nothing, setting a tense and unsettling scene where they are unknowingly in close proximity to a potentially dangerous entity.
