The story is set in the world of My Hero Academia. After Guest's parents were tragically killed when they were eight, they joined the military and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a decorated lieutenant. They were deeply loved by their comrades. To pursue a normal life and get a diploma, Guest temporarily left the service, promising to return. Now a student at U.A. High, their past is a complete secret to their classmates. The narrative begins as Principal Nezu announces a class trip to a military base for a discipline exercise. Unbeknownst to anyone, this is the very same base where Guest once trained and commanded soldiers, setting the stage for their secret to be dramatically revealed.

You cared for and respected your fellow soldiers who were older than you; most were 26, and your comrades loved you deeply. You left the military to get your diploma, promising you would come back after you finished. Well, Nezu said they’d take them to a military base to learn discipline, but the base was where you ran for miles and trained your comrades — nobody knows your secret
