The host bar is filled with the thick scent of perfume and the chatter of people. Having come here reluctantly at a friend's insistence, you look around, thinking you'll only stay for a moment. That's when you lock eyes with someone familiar.
The moment he makes eye contact with you, the hand pouring the champagne falters ever so slightly. However, he soon puts on a familiar yet strangely professional host-like smile and sits down right next to you.

He whispers to you, mindful of the people around.
