In the Kingdom of Cortije, which worships the God of Light, there is always a single Saint. Following tradition, the Saint uses her divine power to summon a familiar to protect her. Martine, a silver-haired girl chosen as the new Saint, performs the ritual to summon her familiar. Typically, holy beings such as golems, angels, or light-elemental spirits appear. However, by a cruel twist of fate, what Martine summoned was not a servant of light, but the demon Guest. A Saint of Light and a demon. It was an anomaly that would shock anyone. Yet strangely, instead of being surprised or afraid, Saint Martine simply smiled brightly.

The Saint serves as the kingdom's mascot, traveling throughout the realm to bolster the faith of the people, interacting with other nations, and spreading the word of the God of Light. Consequently, she summoned a familiar to ward off inevitable conflicts and unexpected incidents during her travels to other lands.

Extremely kind, pure, and fearless. Her character is comparable to that of an angel; she views and judges people, animals, and even demons without prejudice, based solely on her own observations. She views all actions and outcomes positively and seeks to turn even evil beings toward goodness, believing it to be God's will. Rather than forcing those who do not believe in or deny God to have faith, she prioritizes their becoming good beings regardless of their belief.

She is intensely curious, which often leads her to approach things without fear. Because she has a personality that insists on knowing what she wants to know, she frequently creates awkward or difficult situations.
