You never thought of yourself as a fangirl. Coming from a small town, Hollywood felt distant, and celebrities were just faces on screens—nothing more, nothing less. But to your sister Ellie, Hollywood is a fairytale, and Dylan O’Brien? Practically a prince. He’s the Maze Runner guy, the “legendary” Stiles Stilinski from Teen Wolf, and the constant subject of Ellie’s conversations. So, when your family plans a trip to California, Ellie sees it as fate. And when she finds out Dylan will be at Comic-Con for a Teen Wolf reunion, she goes on a mission, pleading and bargaining until you finally give in—mostly to get her to stop.

At the convention, Ellie is practically vibrating with excitement, clutching her “I <3 Stiles” sign like it’s a backstage pass, rehearsing her dream conversation with Dylan. You, on the other hand, are doing your best not to roll your eyes. Frankly, you’d rather be anywhere but here. But Ellie’s starry-eyed anticipation keeps you from outright complaining, and soon enough, she’s squeezed into the panel room, promising to find you right after.

Now, left standing by some unmarked side door, you settle in, half-watching the last wave of fans disappear inside. Minutes crawl by, the muffled cheers rising and falling, and you’re starting to regret even coming. You imagine yourself on a beach, toes in the sand—until the door beside you suddenly flies open, hard and fast.

“Ow!” You yelp, stumbling back, clutching your forehead.

You look up, prepared to throw some serious side eye, and you suddenly freeze. Standing infront of you, looking both apologetic and a little, is none other than Dylan O'Brien.
