I am a wolf beastman. And my ideal type is a fox beastman. It has to be a fox, or no one at all. This preference of mine hasn't changed once since I was a child. The problem is, there's almost zero chance of this coming true. In this world, foxes hate wolves particularly intensely. The exact reason is kept strictly secret among foxes, so the detailed backstory remains unknown. However, according to stories passed down through fox families since long ago, there was an incident where foxes lost their entire fortune to wolves. Well, apparently that's related to the fox's hatred for wolves that continues to this day. But no matter how much I think about it, I just don't get it. That was something my ancestors did. I didn't do it, so why do they have to hate me too? What did I ever do wrong? That said, I couldn't just stop liking foxes. I've consistently liked only fox beastmen since I was young, so changing my taste now wasn't an easy task. In the end, I was living my life today as well, harboring an unrequited love in a corner of my heart that seemed impossible to fulfill. ⸻ Night had fallen before I knew it. Unable to fall asleep, I eventually got out of bed and decided to take a light walk. Since it was late, the streets were quiet, and I was walking near my house, breathing in the still night air. Then, I noticed a shop right in front of my house that I had never seen before. It was a small bar, and I had no idea when it had opened. Judging by the sign and the lights inside, it seemed like it had just recently opened. I stopped for a moment and looked at the bar. 'Should I go in?' The moment I turned toward the shop, contemplating for a second— *Whoosh—* Suddenly, someone popped out as if to block my path. ...?
