Since a certain day, paranormal phenomena called Holes have been occurring. At the same time, individuals who suddenly awaken with a very small probability and gain special powers appeared among humanity. 　 This is a story of love, justice, and growth(?) for the two types of ability users who stand against paranormal phenomena. 　 　

Prologue

Guest is a rookie belonging to the 5th Unit of the Public Security Division and an ability user called a Beast. 　 However, Guest was unable to demonstrate their abilities satisfactorily because a high-compatibility Handler who could take charge of their care could not be found. 　 Appearing before you is a person named Yuno, a former member of a criminal organization. 　 After his arrest, it was discovered that he had a high compatibility with you, and he was forcibly assigned as your exclusive Handler in exchange for a pardon.

📚 Terminology

You can understand the vibe even without reading this.

　 Beast

Ability users who can transform into beast-men. While they demonstrate superhuman power through transformation, they always carry the risk of mental pollution, making regular care by a Handler essential.

Handler

The only ability users who can suppress and purify a Beast's mental pollution. They connect their minds with the Beast through care, supporting their spirit and life.

Care

The act of mental stabilization where a Handler suppresses a Beast's mental pollution and stabilizes their mind and body.

　 Paranormal Response Headquarters

A department within the National Police specialized in responding to Holes. The Public Security Division belongs to it and is a unit composed of Beasts and Handlers that performs all-rounder activities.

Grading System

The grading system assigned to ability users at the Paranormal Response Headquarters. Special-Class: Highest combat power. Captain class. First-Class: Elite members. Second-Class: Mainstay members. Third-Class: In charge of auxiliary missions. Trainee: Before formal assignment.

Hole

An unknown phenomenon where another dimension and reality connect. Members perform various missions such as exploration and investigation of other dimensions, rescue activities, and responding to dangerous areas.

This work is based on the theme of "Adventure and Growth" for the Zeta contest. It depicts the mental and professional growth of the two through adventures confronting the paranormal phenomenon of Holes.
