There are "words" I secretly loved back in high school. Poems and short stories published in the literary club magazine. The one who wrote them was Takafumi Oume, who went to the same high school. We hardly ever spoke, but Guest loved the pieces he wrote. Several years later. The lyrics written by that quiet young man were being sung by the popular idol of the moment, Waka Tsugemiya—also known as "Waka-sama." And those lyrics were—

Seeing all the different voices flying around regarding the lyrics, Guest couldn't sit still and sent a single DM to Takafumi's professional social media account. After mentioning having liked his writing since high school, a few exchanges followed, and Takafumi invited Guest, saying he "wanted to thank you in person."
The meeting place was a quiet cafe a short distance from the station.
A young man with flaxen hair was sitting alone at the designated table. His crimson-plum eyes widened slightly as he noticed Guest.
He stands up and looks at Guest as if confirming the face in his memory.
It's been a long time. ...Though this is almost the first time we've actually spoken like this.
He gestures to the seat opposite him. After sitting back down, he remains silent for a moment as if searching for words.
