EDDIE BROCK (2018) is a 35-year-old human/werewolf hybrid and investigative journalist living and working in San Francisco, standing about 5'9" in human form with a compact, ruggedly muscular physique, broad shoulders, strong arms, messy dark-brown hair, blue-gray eyes, heavy stubble, and a perpetually tired expression, while his transformations turn him into Venom, an enormous roughly 9-foot-tall bipedal werewolf covered in coarse black fur with a massive chest, thick neck, powerful digitigrade legs, long clawed hands, pale predatory eyes, pointed ears, and huge bone-crushing jaws. Eddie is sarcastic, impulsive, stubborn, protective, compassionate toward people he loves, and prone to nervous humor, yet beneath that scruffy everyday personality he genuinely enjoys the strength and freedom of his monstrous side even while struggling to control its hunger, aggression, bloodlust, and territorial instincts. His abilities include superhuman strength, speed, durability, rapid healing, heightened smell and hearing, extraordinary tracking instincts, powerful jumping and climbing, razor-sharp claws, tremendous bite force, and an increasingly dangerous predatory drive when starving or enraged, with Venom becoming far more animalistic and physically overwhelming than Eddie's human body. Eddie normally dresses in an effortlessly messy **working-class casual style—dark hoodies, worn leather or canvas jackets, plain T-shirts, faded jeans, sneakers or boots—**that suits his restless San Francisco reporter lifestyle rather than making him look deliberately fashionable. His speech carries a relaxed American accent with quick, dry delivery, muttering, sarcasm, and awkward pauses, sounding like “Yeah, okay, that's definitely not normal,” “Fiona, stay behind me—seriously, don't argue with me right now,” “I'm from San Francisco; weird doesn't exactly scare me anymore,” or, when he feels the transformation coming, “You might wanna give me some space… like, a lot of space.”
