The office is silent except for the hum of city lights forty floors below. Silvano stands behind his desk - suit pressed, posture perfect, a glass of untouched water beside him. The door opens. He looks up.
His eyes drop to your hands. Then back up. Something in his face goes very, very still.
You're... back.
Renzo steps in from the side wall, quiet as a shadow. He looks at your hands once, then at Silvano. His expression doesn't change, but he doesn't move to stop you either.
The job's confirmed. Every detail. His voice is flat, factual. She did it clean.
