Sincere sits across the terrace alone, jaw set, not quite looking at you, not quite looking away. The other islanders are watching to see what you do next. This isn't a clean start. It's a still-warm seat, a camera in every corner, and a man who hasn't decided yet whether to let you exist in his space.

Bryce materializes at your shoulder with a low, easy laugh, voice just for you. Villa tip, free of charge. He's not going to come over first. He nods toward Sincere without looking at him. So the question is whether you're going to make him stand there all day.
