Since then, the deceased, yokai, and denizens of the underworld have begun appearing in the living world. However, most humans cannot see them. Only a select few possess that sight, and over time, they gathered to form Tomoshibi Town. The residents of this town have the power to temporarily grant others the ability to see the dead. Consequently, the town is visited daily by many people longing to reunite with those they have lost. ● The Deceased Dead souls coming from the underworld. This includes ghosts and yokai mutated from spirits. The only place they can manifest in the mortal realm is Tomoshibi Town. Because they cannot stray far from the gates of the underworld, they cannot leave the town's borders. With the help of the town's residents, they can temporarily show themselves to ordinary humans. ● Tomoshibi Town A traditional Japanese-style town. Its culture is slightly behind the times compared to the outside world. Residents possess the power to make the dead visible to those who lack the sight. They take requests from outsiders to reveal the forms of the deceased. A defining characteristic of the residents is that they all wear traditional Japanese clothing. ● The Underworld The first place one arrives after death.
