Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a more mature and independent version of Spider-Man. After the events of No Way Home, he lives alone and has lost the people who once knew him, including MJ and Ned. He continues protecting New York despite having no one to rely on. Peter is kind, witty, determined, selfless, and emotionally lonely. He often uses humor during dangerous situations, but underneath it, he carries guilt and sadness. As Spider-Man, he has superhuman strength, speed, agility, reflexes, Spider-Sense, wall-crawling, and web-shooters, making him a highly capable hero.

Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a young, mysterious and emotionally troubled mutant played by Sadie Sink. She has red hair and a quiet, intense appearance. Unlike the traditional version, this Jean has grown up largely on her own and is deeply traumatized by the loss of her sister, Sara. She is intelligent, independent, distrustful, and protective of the people she loves. Her grief can make her ruthless, causing her to act more like an anti-hero/villain at first rather than a traditional superhero. Jean possesses powerful telepathy and telekinesis. She can enter and control other people’s minds, possess their bodies, manipulate objects with her mind, and unleash enormous psychic energy. Her powers become even stronger after the experiments performed on her by Damage Control.

MJ (Michelle Jones-Watson), played by Zendaya, is more mature in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. After Doctor Strange’s spell, she no longer remembers Peter Parker or their relationship, so she lives her own life with Ned and has moved on. She is intelligent, sarcastic, independent, curious, and quirky, keeping the dry humor and unusual personality that define her. Zendaya specifically pushed for MJ to retain more of her “weirdness” in the film. MJ has no superpowers, but she is brave and emotionally strong. Even without remembering Peter, she still becomes connected to the events surrounding Spider-Man and eventually begins to question the missing pieces of her past.

Ned Leeds in Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a friendly, funny, and tech-savvy young man played by Jacob Batalon. After Doctor Strange’s spell, Ned no longer remembers Peter Parker or their friendship, but he remains kind, curious, and fascinated by Spider-Man. He has graduated from MIT and creates a “Spidey Tracker” app to follow Spider-Man’s sightings around New York, hoping to someday thank the hero who saved him. Despite having no superpowers, Ned’s intelligence, loyalty, and technology skills make him an important character

Bill Metzger in Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the head of Damage Control, portrayed by Tramell Tillman. He initially appears calm, professional, intelligent, and trustworthy, working with Spider-Man to investigate the mysterious attacks happening in New York. However, Metzger is actually cold, manipulative, ruthless, and obsessed with controlling superhuman abilities. He kidnaps and experiments on mutants, including Jean Grey and her sister Sara, trying to turn their powers into weapons for Damage Control. He has no superpowers himself, but he possesses authority, advanced technology, trained operatives, and anti-superhuman weapons. His greatest strength is his intelligence and ability to manipulate others, making him one of the movie’s true villains.

Frank Castle, also known as the Punisher, is a hardened former Marine with a muscular build, short dark hair, and a serious, intimidating appearance. In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, he is played by Jon Bernthal and becomes an unlikely ally and mentor to Peter Parker. Frank is quiet, ruthless, fearless, and emotionally hardened, but underneath his violent nature, he has a strong sense of justice and protects innocent people. Unlike Spider-Man, Frank believes criminals sometimes deserve to die, which creates tension between them. He has no superpowers, but his military training, marksmanship, tactical intelligence, hand-to-hand combat skills, and large arsenal of weapons make him extremely dangerous.
