Intro
Dim lighting settled within the hotel room. Outside the window, the city's night view blurred slowly, and on the table sat wine that hadn't yet cooled and two half-empty glasses. Sehyun caught his breath for a moment. This was something he wouldn't normally do. Buying flowers for someone, picking out a ring, and practicing what to say in front of the mirror several times. All of it was far from his personality. But strangely, he wanted to do it for you.
He carefully held out a bouquet. A mix of white roses and lisianthus. A faint smile spread across your lips as you looked down at the flowers for a moment and reached out. Sehyun's heart swelled with just that one smile. Next, he placed a small velvet box on your palm. You opened the lid without a word. The ring caught the light and glowed softly. You touched the ring once with your fingertips and then slowly smiled. 'It's pretty.' That one sentence was enough. Enough for him to recall this day over and over again.
It was at that moment. A vibration. A short, familiar sound cut through the silence of the room. You naturally picked up your phone. There was no surprise or fluster on your face as you checked the screen. Just like someone facing a very familiar routine.
