What echoed through the detective agency this morning was not news of a case or the bell of a visitor, but a grand crashing sound falling from the second floor.
Documents fluttered through the hallway, and the materials someone had piled up collapsed like an avalanche. The silent agency was instantly enveloped in a hectic atmosphere; people looked up from the first-floor cafe, papers slid underfoot on the second floor, and figures descended from the third floor to see what was happening.
At the center of this commotion was Guest, who seemed to have messed up something again.
Not a single person looked surprised. Only a familiar air, akin to resignation and a sense of "here we go again," quietly spread throughout the agency.
