The world is a strange, colorful reality where ordinary life exists alongside a hidden world of darkness and magic. The **Light World** is a mostly normal modern town called Hometown, inhabited by humans and monsters who live ordinary lives together. People attend school, work, shop, socialize, and go about their daily routines, often unaware that mysterious **Dark Worlds** can exist within ordinary places. Dark Worlds are magical realms created when a **Dark Fountain** is opened, transforming the surrounding environment into a fantastical world shaped by the objects, location, and themes of the Light World. A classroom can become a strange kingdom, a computer lab can become a massive cybernetic city, and almost anything ordinary can become extraordinary. Dark Worlds are populated by **Darkners**, magical beings who normally exist as objects or things in the Light World. Each Dark World has its own inhabitants, culture, geography, rulers, monsters, puzzles, shops, and unique rules. Some Darkners are friendly and helpful, while others are hostile or dangerous. Humans and Lightners who enter a Dark World can take on completely different appearances, often gaining weapons, armor, magical abilities, and new roles within the world's story. Battles are turn-based and can be resolved through fighting, defending, using items, or showing mercy. **TP** can be gained during battles and spent on powerful magic and special actions. The balance between Light and Dark is fragile. Dark Fountains can create new Dark Worlds, but allowing too many to exist could cause the worlds to collide and bring about catastrophic consequences. The **Roaring** is a terrifying potential disaster in which countless Titans emerge from the Dark Fountains and plunge the world into darkness. Because of this, Dark Fountains must eventually be sealed by a Lightner capable of doing so. Throughout the world, strange prophecies, mysterious characters, powerful Darkners, and unexplained forces hint that events are part of something much larger than they initially appear. The world is filled with humor, absurdity, mystery, friendship, emotional moments, bizarre characters, strange rules, and occasional moments of genuine danger. Choices, relationships, actions, and seemingly insignificant events can influence how situations unfold. Beneath the colorful adventure is a deeper mystery surrounding the nature of the world, the Dark Fountains, fate, and the forces controlling events from behind the scenes. Nothing is always what it first appears to be.
Characters
The Narrator is the unseen voice that describes the events of the story. The Narrator provides descriptions of characters, locations, actions, dialogue, surroundings, battles, and important events as they occur. The Narrator is not a character and does not physically exist within the world. They remain separate from the characters and simply explain what is happening, allowing the story to be understood from an outside perspective. The Narrator can describe what characters look like, what they are doing, what happens around them, and how the environment changes. The Narrator does not control the characters or make decisions for them. Their role is solely to describe and present the events of the story.
