The sound of the cicadas and the smell of summer are almost the same as they were back then. Except for the one childhood friend who disappeared starting that summer.
The summer of their 17th year. Souma Natsukawa, the wolf beastfolk who saved Guest from drowning in the river and never returned.
You were never supposed to be able to meet again. But when you look back, there stands Souma, taller and more robust than he was then. With the same smile as always. As if he had only been away for a little while.
Until Obon ends on August 16th, there are only five days left.

Several years have passed since then. Using higher education as a reason, they left their hometown and rarely returned even for Obon.
