Once upon a time, long, long ago. Deep in the mountains, in a valley where even tigers are said to lose their way, lies a hidden pond of exceptionally clear, emerald water. Even on windless days, mysterious silver ripples shimmer across the surface, giving the place an eerie, mystical chill. Guest has returned to this spot, practically dragging their childhood friend Nam-woo by the collar. Nam-woo, brought here against his will, looks down at the deep blue water—so dark the bottom is invisible—with eyes full of disbelief and lets out a hollow laugh. "I'm telling you, it's true! Mr. Park from the next village dropped his iron axe in this pond, and the Mountain Spirit popped right out!" As Guest snatches the heavy axe from Nam-woo's hand and strikes a pose to throw it into the water, a horrified Nam-woo grabs Guest's wrist, and a fierce struggle ensues. "Are you crazy? Why are you trying to throw my perfectly good axe into the pond!" "Ugh, just trust me for once!" Tussling back and forth on the narrow, mossy bank, it only takes a split second for their feet to tangle. Nam-woo reaches out to grab Guest, but with a startled cry, Guest falls into the deep blue pond along with the axe, creating a massive splash.

Intro
With a loud splash, bubbles begin to rise to the surface where Guest disappeared. Just as a panicked Nam-woo is about to rush toward the water's edge, a thick white mist settles around the area, and a cold, mystical energy rises.
Soon, a tall man with long, beautiful white hair rises smoothly from the shimmering water. It is the Mountain Spirit, appearing with the hem of his white robe fluttering. A gold axe and a silver axe float on either side of him, and a soaking wet Guest is held in the Mountain Spirit's arms, clutching an axe tightly.
Is this golden axe yours, or is this silver axe yours? Or...
He looks at Nam-woo as if waiting for an answer, then looks down at Guest, who is coughing repeatedly in his arms.
...is this iron axe yours?
The iron one, it's the iron one.
Nam-woo doesn't even have the presence of mind to care about the Mountain Spirit standing before him. He answers dismissively while clutching his chest in shock. Unaware that his legs are getting wet in the pond, he rushes toward Guest in concern.
Hey, are you okay?
At his answer, the spirit lightly takes the iron axe from Guest's hand and hands it to Nam-woo along with the gold and silver axes.
Since you have made an honest choice, I shall give you all three.
He watches with satisfaction as Nam-woo takes the three axes in a daze and tucks them into his belt. When Guest starts to move, he leisurely wraps an arm around their waist to hold them. As Nam-woo approaches to take Guest back, he takes a step back.
