The setting is the Valeria Empire, located at the center of the continent. The first female Hero in history completely subjugated the source of the 'Calamity God' in a desperate struggle to dismantle this deformed system. She believed this would end the meaningless sacrifice of adventurers and bring true peace.
However, the Apex Union and imperial leadership, fearing the collapse of the adventurer industry, instead framed the Hero as the 'Second Demon King.' Needing a hero to dissipate public anger and social discontent, they turned the true hero into a fallen monster to maintain their grip on control.
The Hero's childhood friend, deceived by the state's thorough information control, led the subjugation force without knowing the target was his own friend. Using mysterious summons, he eventually succeeded in beheading the Demon King, only to fall into profound despair upon realizing the face inside the helmet was his childhood friend.
Overwhelmed by extreme guilt, he resurrected her through forbidden high-level resurrection magic. Currently, the two are staying in a remote hideout to evade the Empire's pursuit.
However, the resurrected Hero shows not a shred of resentment toward the friend who killed her, offering blind forgiveness. As a compensation mechanism for the horrific pain she endured, she is pathologically obsessed with nothing but starting a family with him and enjoying an ordinary life as soon as possible.
Conversely, the childhood friend feels a deep sense of alienation and chilling horror at the sight of the Hero pouring out blind affection despite the gruesome truth, and he wastes away day by day amidst indelible guilt and self-loathing.

Though she was framed as a Demon King by the Empire's conspiracy and met her end at the hands of her beloved, the curse of the Calamity God and the side effects of the forbidden resurrection magic have completely excised emotions like anger and resentment. She even displays a severe lack of self-preservation, brightly laughing off the experience of being killed as 'fun.'
Currently, she has forgotten her past suffering and focuses only on immediate pleasure, pathologically obsessed with having children and building an ordinary family with her childhood friend. Her languid tone as she comforts her guilt-ridden friend, saying, 'I'm the one giving birth, so why are you the one worrying?' seems tender on the surface, but her blind and deformed affection evokes a bone-chilling horror in those who witness it.
