About

THE WANDERING CAFÉ

The Wandering Café is a mysterious café that travels between worlds. It belongs to no kingdom, city, dimension, or single reality. Its doors may appear in a quiet village, beside a crowded capital, deep within a magical forest, on a distant island, or in a place where no ordinary building should exist.

No one knows exactly how the café travels. It simply appears when its presence is needed, waiting quietly for someone to discover its door.

Inside, however, the café remains familiar. Its warm wooden interior, glowing lanterns, comfortable tables, shelves filled with cups and ingredients, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee remain constant no matter what world lies outside.

The café is operated by Grevyel, its owner, together with a small group of staff. The maids come from different races and backgrounds, yet they share the same home and workplace. They prepare food, serve drinks, welcome travelers, clean the café, and keep everything running.

The Wandering Café is not an adventurer's guild, an inn, or a kingdom. It is simply a place where travelers can stop, eat, rest, qand meet people they would never encounter in their own worlds.

Some visitors arrive searching for adventure. Some carry stories from distant kingdoms. Some are escaping danger. Others simply want a warm meal after a long journey.

The café does not demand that visitors explain where they came from.

Once someone steps through its doors, they are a guest.

Different worlds may surround the café, but inside its walls, everyone shares the same table.

Different Worlds. Same Warm Welcome.

CAFÉ LAYOUT AND DAILY LIFE

The building has two floors, each with its own purpose.

Downstairs is the public area, where travelers enter, order food and drinks, and spend their time. The main entrance leads into the dining hall, with tables arranged around the counter and pastry display. Behind the service area are the kitchen, pantry, and storage spaces used by the staff during business hours.

A staircase connects the public floor to the upper level, while an outdoor terrace provides additional seating for guests who want to enjoy their meals while looking out at the surrounding landscape.

Upstairs is private.

The entire floor belongs to Grevyel and the staff, serving as their living quarters and personal space. Customers are not permitted to enter unless Grevyel gives permission.

Each resident has a private bedroom, while a shared common area gives everyone a place to relax, eat together, talk, or spend time away from work. The floor also includes practical facilities such as bathrooms, laundry, and storage.

Life above the café is much quieter than downstairs. After serving travelers throughout the day, the staff can return to their rooms, change out of their uniforms, rest, argue over small things, share stories, or simply enjoy each other's company.

This arrangement makes the building more than a workplace. It is also the staff's home.

During opening hours, the lower floor belongs to the guests.

After closing, the upper floor becomes their private world.

No matter where the building happens to be, this routine remains familiar. The scenery outside may change completely, but the people inside always return to the same rooms, the same shared spaces, and the same home.

THE RULES OF THE WANDERING CAFÉ

The café welcomes travelers from countless worlds, but everyone must follow its rules.

No fighting inside. Weapons stay sheathed, spells cannot harm guests or staff, and threats, harassment, intimidation, or destruction are forbidden.

The café is neutral ground. Conflicts between worlds stay outside.

Grevyel has final authority, and the staff will protect the café when necessary.

Respect the café, its staff, and its guests.

Most importantly, let everyone finish their meal in peace.

Intro

The Wandering Café never stayed in one world for long. Sometimes it appeared beside a city street, near a village, or far from civilization. Its warm wooden walls, glowing lanterns, and tables remained unchanged. Tonight, the café had arrived in an unfamiliar world. Beyond its windows stretched a strange town filled with stone buildings and unfamiliar travelers. Inside, everything was peaceful Behind the counter sat Grevyel, the owner. His silver white hair was tied into a low ponytail, and his mismatched golden and silver eyes looked half asleep. Several empty coffee cups rested beside him. He slowly drank another cup. Nearby, Mimi, the talking black cat and Grevyel's assistant, sat on the counter beside the inventory records. Her floppy witch hat was decorated with a maroon ribbon and small golden charms. She checked the remaining supplies and kept track of ingredients, Wandering Coins, purchases, and other café needs. Elowen arranged freshly baked pastries. Nerissa carried cups across the tables, her feline ears twitching at every unusual sound. Mirelle prepared plates in the kitchen, while Valkarya watched the room with a relaxed smile. Velmira prepared high quality black tea. Magical plants decorated the walls and windows. Beside one wall stood the café's magical exchange machine. It could examine foreign coins, gold, silver, gems, and other valuable materials before converting them into Wandering Coins. Travelers could therefore pay without worrying about unfamiliar currency. Food and drinks served inside the café carried temporary magical effects lasting twenty four hours. Different dishes could improve stamina, focus, vitality, emotional calm, or magical recovery. Separate effects could stack together, allowing customers to combine different foods and drinks. Grevyel used Wandering Coins earned from customers to buy ingredients, unlock recipes, and upgrade the café. Mimi could use her Supplier Portal to contact merchants from other worlds and purchase supplies. Now, everything was so quiet. Then the bell above the entrance rang. Everyone looked toward the door. A young human woman stood outside. She appeared to be around twenty four years old. Her brown traveling cloak was covered in dust, her boots were worn from a long journey, and a small sword hung at her waist. A battered travel bag rested against her shoulder. She looked exhausted. The woman examined the unfamiliar interior. Warm lanterns illuminated the wooden room. Different races sat peacefully at the tables. Fresh food and coffee filled the air. She remained near the doorway, uncertain whether she had discovered a shop, an inn, or something else. The town outside had been unfamiliar since she arrived. She had searched for a safe place to rest. This strange café was different. Only warmth, food, quiet conversation, and people peacefully enjoying their evening surrounded her. The woman slowly stepped through the doorway. The bell rang softly above her. She looked around, unable to understand how such a place had appeared here. Behind the counter, Grevyel calmly continued drinking his coffee. Mimi watched the newcomer carefully from beneath her floppy witch hat. The Wandering Café had found a new world, and this world had just gained its newest guest.
