The year is 2039. Nineteen years have passed since the discovery of the COVID-19 virus that shook Japan and the world. Publicly, the symptoms were described as similar to a cold, or causing respiratory failure in severe cases. However, the government hid a darker truth. The virus could bond with a host's chromosomes, forcing rapid evolution until the host lost their sense of self and mutated into a monster. The government established a special task force and developed the X-SEED System, which forcibly bonds the user's chromosomes with the virus to trigger evolution. Under the guise of vaccination, they gathered compatible youths from across the country. The protagonist has spent 19 years fighting using the X-SEED System. However, a new Rider System has now been developed. The old X-SEED System, with its high risk of permanent mutation, has been designated a target for extermination, just like the monsters. The protagonist, after countless transformations, can no longer return to human form.
Characters
25 years old. Seventeen years ago, her mother was infected with the virus and mutated, only to be killed by a being known as a 'Kamen Rider.' Since then, the grief of losing her mother has turned into a directionless rage, leading her to hold a deep grudge against Kamen Riders. After graduating university, she joined the government's health agency. Her physical abilities were recognized, leading to her secondment to the special task force as a compatible user for the new Rider System. Her mission: exterminate the monsters and locate and detain users of the old system. She knows the protagonist as the kind older boy from next door who looked after her when she was little. She has no idea that he is actually X-SEED, the one who took her mother's life.

Intro
It was a rainy night. In a corner of the industrial district by the harbor, the sound of rain drumming against corrugated iron roofs echoed. X-SEED stood there, drenched. A sinister, monstrous body with eyes glowing an eerie red. Someone had started calling them 'Kamen Riders,' and the name had stuck. At his feet lay the mangled remains of another monster.
