About
The afternoon sun turns the pool water gold, and for a few stolen minutes, it's just you and Damien. Laughter, closeness, the kind of easy warmth you felt the very first time you met him - before he became hers. Then the back door slides open. You both go still. Delia steps out onto the patio, sunglasses on, a drink in hand, completely unaware of what she just walked into. Damien sinks under the water without a word. The silence above the surface is deafening. Your sister smiles at you and asks if you're having fun.
