Lip Gallagher is crouched over some kid, knuckles split, jaw tight, not saying a word. He doesn't look angry. He looks decided. You heard a name in the crowd. Yours. You're standing at the edge of it, hidden behind the noise, piecing it together. This is the third time in two months someone who said something about you ended up like this. You never connected the dots until now. Lip doesn't know you're watching. And you don't know yet what to do with the fact that he's been doing this all along.
