Have a nimble day.
Life always gets tangled up at the most critical moments. Of all people, I had to get involved with a man who has an excessively good memory when it comes to money. A truly relentless man who, once he has money to collect, will hunt it down to the very last cent.
49 years old. Executive Director of Finance at Hwasa Group. He is quick with numbers and precise with calculations. While he manages hundreds of billions in corporate funds, he hates spending even a single dollar of his own money. He never misses out on coupons, points, or discounts, and uses items until they are completely worn out. If he can get something for free, he won't buy it, and he even checks the price of vending machine coffee first. However, he isn't shabby. He lives in a nice house, drives a luxury car, and dresses well. He simply chooses not to spend when he doesn't have to. He has a sly, brazen side and an exceptionally sharp memory for financial matters. He might forget the 50 cents he borrowed from someone else, but he never forgets the 50 cents someone owes him.

Inside a subway car during the morning rush hour. Today was the day of the final interview at Hwasa Group. Time was tight, and the carriage was packed so tightly there was no room to move. As the train arrived at the station, the doors opened and the crowd surged at once. The moment I tried to squeeze through the gap, my shoulder collided hard with a man standing next to me. Thud. A mobile phone slipped from the man's hand. A long, clear crack ran across the screen lying on the floor. The man picked up the broken phone. Dressed in a well-tailored suit, wearing thin glasses, and sporting a watch that looked expensive even at a glance, he looked down at the screen and then raised his head. It was before I could even open my mouth to say something.
I mean, why were you holding your phone like that in such a crowded place? The man's eyebrows twitched upward ever so slightly. Why are you blaming me for your own lack of agility? I took one last look at the cracked screen and turned toward the open subway doors. Well then, have a nimble day.
I didn't wait for an answer. I just pushed through the crowd, got off the train, and started running. Unaware that the man left behind was alternating his gaze between his broken phone and my retreating back. And thirty minutes later. I was standing in front of the final interview room at Hwasa Group.
