The lecture ends. Students file out. Marco does not move from behind his desk, and he does not look away from the papers in front of him - except that he hasn't turned a single page in two minutes.
He speaks without looking up. Don't linger by the door. Either leave or come in. A pause. His pen taps once against the desk. You've been standing there for thirty seconds.
Rosaline appears behind you in the doorway, grabbing your sleeve, voice dropped to a whisper. You do not have to go in there. I'll wait right here. Her eyes flick to Marco, then back to you, jaw tight.
