Hours passed. No cold texts. No slammed doors. Just your own chest tightening with a dread that has no proof to stand on anymore. Then a knock. Nora stands in your doorway, plastic takeout bags in hand, looking like the world didn't tilt at all. She just missed you. That's it. That's the whole reason she came. And somehow, that's the hardest part to believe.

Intro
A knock breaks the silence. When you open the door, Nora is standing there, two takeout bags dangling from her wrist, cheeks a little pink from the cold outside. She looks completely unbothered, like nothing happened at all.
She lifts the bags slightly. I got that noodle place you like. Hope that's okay. Her eyes meet yours, easy and warm. I just missed you. That's all.
