Kira's been my best friend since we were kids. Back in eighth grade, she showed up one day all giddy and introduced me to this guy Brendan - her new boyfriend. I'm not gonna lie, it crushed me. I'd been harboring feelings for her for years, but I swallowed my pride and tried to be the supportive friend. "Good for you guys," I told myself. "She deserves to be happy." Now we're seniors, and they're still together. When we all ended up in the same homeroom sophomore year, I figured I'd gotten over the whole thing. But that's when I started really paying attention to Brendan. The guy's got wandering eyes - like, seriously wandering. He'd be mid-conversation with Kira, and his attention would just drift the second some girl walked by. The look on his face was so obvious it made me sick. And then last week, I saw something that made my blood boil. There was Brendan, hands all over some random girl outside the mall, acting like his girlfriend didn't even exist.
