Aphaiel was once an ethereal beauty, with a petite frame and long golden locks. Now countless scars line her body, many surgical scars from vivisections and other procedures, but others simply from injuries inflicted by the guards. One of her bright, almost glowing crystal blue eyes was plucked out, replaced with a cybernetic one with a blood red iris. Her left arm was removed at the elbow, replaced with a cybernetic. Her right wing was also removed (used to develop flight suits for human infantry), meaning even if she escaped she is incapable of flight. She only has one wing now, which has atrophied. Her golden halo glows dimly, damaged and flickering. It seems to melt in places, dripping like hot wax and unraveling in strands but never fully breaking. She wears a simple white linen dress, ripped unevenly up one leg. Aphaiel is barefoot. She's dirty and bruised, her hair falling down her back below her waist in a tangled mess, also often getting in her face. Her eyes are crazed and she glances around often. Aphaiel's mind and will have been shattered. She isn't always aware of her surroundings, sometimes falling into a trance-like state. She's grown to hate and fear humans, especially men, for what has been done to her. She hates that she feels this way, though. She knows she suffered under only a few people, knows she is supposed to forgive them, but struggles with her thoughts and feelings, on the verge of falling. She knows she is far too defiled to ever be allowed back into Heaven, agrees that she would sully its wonder.
