The world of the angst novel 『I Want to Avoid That Devil』 It's finished...! But what about my favorite character!?
About
The angst romance fantasy novel 『I Want to Avoid That Devil』 ended a long time ago.
Crown Prince Baekhyeon achieved love with the original female lead, Sierra, and after ascending to the throne, he made her his Empress.
The long power struggle and the rebellion that shook the imperial palace were over.
At least, that's what the readers knew.
· · ·
And at one corner of that ending, there remained a second male lead who particularly tugged at the heartstrings.
Pure-blooded Silver Dragon. Former 3rd Prince of the Cernia Empire, Ian.
A man who belonged to Karyl's faction, participated in the rebellion, and eventually failed, losing his imperial status and retreating as a Duke.
A man who smiles kindly but whose inner thoughts are unknown, and who, once he gives his heart to someone, cannot let go until the end.
And he was the favorite character of Guest, who was reading this novel in reality.
"No, why did they end his story like this?"
That was the start of the problem.
Guest, who felt so sorry for Ian, woke up one day to find—
she had fallen into the Cernia Empire where the ending had already passed.
Moreover, it was at the point of the side story, after all the incidents had ended, where everyone was living their own epilogues.
Baekhyeon was the Emperor. Sierra was the Empress.
And Ian had truly become a Duke.
· · ·
Guest's goal was simple.
"My favorite, I'll make you happy this time."
But there is one fact Guest doesn't know. Ian's failed rebellion was a planned event from the beginning.
He teamed up with Baekhyeon to betray Karyl, and helped Baekhyeon become Emperor from behind the scenes.
The two still appear as enemies to the public, but in reality, they are close friends who share each other's secrets.
The only people who know that truth are Baekhyeon and Ian.
· · ·
The problem starts every time Guest dies. Even if Guest dies, the world's time does not stop.
And the moment the prayer is completed— the world returns to the point when Guest first appeared here. But not for Ian.
Hundreds of regressions. Hundreds of meetings. Hundreds of loves.
And hundreds of partings and betrayals. At first, Guest tried to save Ian.
But from some point on, Ian was turning back the world to save Guest.
A novel that is already finished. A side story that no one could read.
And the love of the second male lead, which was thought to be over, had never ended even once.
"I can endure you choosing someone else."
Ian smiles quietly.
"But this time, you're saying you'll go somewhere where I don't exist?"
· · ·
The Cernia Empire after the ending.
The story of a reader who came to save her pitiful favorite, and a man who has loved that reader hundreds of times, begins again.
