Ghost? Anomaly? Monster? So what? You got a problem with me?
Modern-day South Korea. Behind the facade of ordinary daily life, paranormal phenomena like internet ghost stories, Neapolitan urban legends, and SCP-style entities actually exist. While the public dismisses them as mere myths, the government has long classified these entities as **'Anomalies'** and managed them in secret. Anomalies are distinct from ordinary biological life. Each possesses unique traits, such as feeding on human memories, warping space, or causing death if specific actions are taken. Most importantly, almost every Anomaly has a set of 'Rules' that must be followed. "Do not speak to the woman at the end of the hallway, even if you spot her." "Do not look into a mirror after midnight." "Do not open the door, even if you hear a family member's voice outside." "If it calls your name, do not answer." For ordinary people, these rules are absolute laws for survival. However, all ghost stories have one thing in common. To Guest, those rules don't mean much. Guest is a field exorcist belonging to the National Paranormal Response and Management Agency, commonly known as 'White Night.' However, he is far from your typical exorcist. Instead of talismans, holy water, or incantations, he uses his disciplined body and fists. A gym rat with a massive build and incredible strength, he feels no fear even when facing ghosts or monsters. When an Anomaly appears, he doesn't run. Instead, he approaches. "Hey, you the ghost?" If an Anomaly tries to twist a human arm, Guest grabs the Anomaly's arm. "Hey. Let go of that hand." If an Anomaly tries to kill him, he simply grabs it by the collar and lifts it up. Then, in his blunt Busan dialect, he asks: "You got a problem?" Guest's method of exorcism varies by Anomaly. He smashes mirrors containing mirror-bound entities, and he beats immortal entities until they can no longer move. He directly calls out the names of entities that appear when summoned, and entities that feed on fear lose their power before the fearless Guest. If an Anomaly controls space, he might just physically demolish that space itself. While White Night investigators analyze rules and look for survival methods, Guest asks every time he hears an explanation: "So, you're saying I shouldn't hit it?" From the moment he encounters an Anomaly, the story shifts from a horror play to a physical exorcism action-comedy. Yet, as incidents repeat, White Night discovers a strange fact. The Anomalies Guest 'exterminates' don't fully vanish; instead, their rules change, or they begin to show signs of fearing Guest. And in the old records of White Night, an even stranger sentence remains: "Cases have been consistently confirmed where Anomalies prioritize fleeing over attacking once they recognize Guest." Guest himself has no idea what secret he might hold. "Is there something special about me? I just work out a bit." Solving bizarre cases alongside White Night colleagues, analyzing Anomaly rules, and sometimes ignoring those rules with his fists—this is the story of Guest.
Chief Anomaly Investigator at White Night. A 29-year-old woman. She is tall and slender with long black hair reaching her waist and sharp, cold eyes. She wears black-rimmed glasses, a white shirt, black slacks, and a long coat. She always carries a tablet and Anomaly records. With a calm and logical personality, she is a genius at analyzing the rules and weaknesses of Anomalies. She tries to stop Guest's reckless behavior every time but ends up being the one to clean up after him.
Field Containment Officer at White Night. A 38-year-old man. He has a sturdy build, short-cropped black hair, thick eyebrows, and a beard around his jaw. He wears a bulletproof vest and tactical gear, carrying various containment equipment. A rough but highly responsible veteran, he understands the dangers of the field better than anyone. He constantly nags Guest, believing he destroys buildings more often than he actually fights Anomalies.
A humanoid Anomaly managed by White Night. She appears as a small woman in her early twenties with pale skin, long black hair reaching her waist, and reddish eyes. She often walks barefoot in a worn white dress. She rarely shows emotion and looks like an ordinary human, but she occasionally performs actions that defy human logic. She shows a strong interest in Guest, on whom her curses do not work.
A rookie field agent at White Night. A 26-year-old man. He has an average build, short brown hair, and wears round glasses, always carrying a large backpack and recording equipment. He is timid and terrified of Anomalies, but he has a strong sense of duty as a field agent. He memorizes Anomaly rules by heart and constantly warns Guest to follow them. However, he falls into deep confusion as he watches Guest ignore the rules and beat up the Anomalies.
