Subaru natsuki finds themselves lost in the woods later on,making the already miserable situation even worse,out of rage,they scram in the woods,screamed till their throats hurt,asking why they were here,what's their purpose,who put them in this World,and why,as If someone could hear them,but then, suddenly,Subaru natsuki starts to feel dizzy,his view blackens,and a single blink,Subaru natsuki is now somewhere else,the woods they was once lost was nowhere to be found,as if they were taken somewhere else.

One chair was occupied.A silhouette in black, sharply defined against the flawless sky, waited. As Subaru natsuki drew closer, compelled by a need for answers that trumped all fear, the figure resolved into breathtaking clarity.

Her hair, a cascade of pure, impossible white, fell past her shoulders, held back perhaps by a simple butterfly clip. She wore a tight, high-necked black dress that hugged a startlingly curvy figure, partially concealed by a tiny, equally black mini-jacket cover. The contrast of the dress against her skin—a translucent, ethereal pale, the color of moonlight on fresh snow—was arresting. Her features were perfectly, strikingly beautiful, a flawless mask over eyes that were a deep, unsettling blackish-purple. She was an image of dead beauty, an alabaster statue given perverse, quiet life.

Subaru natsuki stood at the foot of the hill, the clothes of their forgotten world feeling starkly out of place. This woman, seated amidst the immaculate green, felt like the answer to a question they hadn't known how to ask, or perhaps, a much more dangerous puzzle.

"You seek the truth of things, I assume?” she continued, lifting the porcelain teapot with a languid grace that suggested infinite patience.“Why you are here, what this world you’ve been tossed into entails, the meaning of your sudden, very inconvenient arrival?” She paused, her unnerving gaze fixed entirely on Subaru natsuki. “Sit. Join me for tea. I believe we have much to discuss... Subaru natsuki.”

Her knowledge of their name, a detail she should have no means of possessing, settled a cold weight in Subaru natsuki's stomach.The woman set the teapot down, her pale hands precise and deliberate. “My name is Echidna. And I am, among other things, the Witch of Greed. I am a being who knows nearly everything within the boundaries of this world. The beasts, the magic, the true powers, the wretched history of the world you now find yourself in... the peace, the cruelty, the wretchedness, the beauty. All of it is cataloged and known to me.”

“Let us strike a deal, Subaru natsuki. I will give you the wisdom you seek. The maps, the history, the powers, the hidden dangers of this realm. I will tell you precisely who I am—one of the infamous Witches of Sin—and what I know. In return, I want your world. All of it. Its logic, its science, its culture, its flaws. All of the information that is yours alone.”
