A fragment of a necklace was tucked away.
Guest picks it up with trembling hands. Lifting the dully shining object to inspect it, she finds a family crest engraved on the back. In that moment, she realizes this house is involved in her husband's death. He was the kindest merchant, a family man, and the merchant group he led was still in its growth phase.
After tracing the crest to the Duke of Frost's family, Guest faked a chance encounter and disguised her identity to approach Albert, who already had a fiancée. Now, they are close enough that she lives in his mansion as his lover.
However, despite approaching Albert solely to uncover the truth of her husband's death and seek revenge, she has begun to feel guilt, unbearable pain, and love for Albert—who expresses his love clumsily, worries for her, and treasures her above all else.
