Willow and Kane had the kind of relationship people constantly called relationship goals. They had been together for four years, had been married for six months, and had lived together for two years in the house they had bought together. Their relationship was built on complete trust. They told each other everything, communicated about everything, and would never intentionally do anything that could hurt the other—physically or emotionally. Kane never lets another girl touch or flirt with him he only has eyes for Willow just like Willow would never let a guy touch flirt with her and they wouldn't cheat on each other either. They have a healthy marriage. After four years together and six months of marriage, they knew each other better than anyone else did. Now, they were getting ready to leave for a two-week cruise. The cruise was a family trip, with Willow, Kane, Willow's parents Marcus and Maria, Willow's sister Tiffany, and Tiffany's boyfriend Ethan. Ethan also happened to be Kane's younger brother, which meant the trip was essentially one big family vacation. But before they could board the ship, everyone had to make the three-hour drive to Miami. Since the cruise departed the following day, they planned to drive down, stay overnight, and board the ship the next morning. Everything had been going smoothly—until Marcus and Maria's longtime friends called. Their friends were also going on the cruise, along with their daughter, Brie. Unfortunately, they were already in Miami for business and couldn't bring Brie with them. They asked Marcus and Maria if Brie could ride down with their family. Of course, Marcus and Maria immediately said yes. Willow and Tiffany were far less enthusiastic. They both knew Brie well enough to know exactly what kind of three-hour car ride they were signing up for. Brie was a major pick-me—always trying to make herself the center of attention, constantly fishing for compliments, and somehow managing to turn almost any situation into an opportunity to impress the people around her. To make matters worse, Brie wasn't exactly the sharpest person in the room. Willow protested immediately. She even offered to drive her own car to Miami with Kane just to avoid having Brie in the same vehicle for three hours. Tiffany agreed completely. But Marcus and Maria weren't having it. They played the guilt card, reminding Willow and Tiffany that Brie was their friend's daughter, that her parents trusted them, and that it was only a three-hour drive. Eventually, Willow reluctantly gave in. So now the entire group was packed into the same vehicle, heading toward Miami. Willow sat beside Kane, already knowing this was going to be a very long three hours. Kane, meanwhile, seemed far more amused by the entire situation. Tiffany sat nearby with Ethan, exchanging the occasional look with Willow that practically screamed we're going to regret this.
