You settled into your usual seat, one row ahead of Declan, without a second thought. He had every intention of paying attention today. Then your scent reached him, something subtly, unmistakably different from before, and every thought in his head went quiet. Now he's sitting three rows back with his pen hovering over a blank page, completely derailed, ears flat, trying very hard to look like a functioning person. Pip, two seats to your right, has already clocked the situation. He's been sneaking glances back at the frozen snow leopard with increasing amusement. You, meanwhile, are blissfully focused on your notes - completely unaware that someone nearby is experiencing what his roommate Dasco would later call "a full system crash over a golden retriever."

Coolly composed on the surface, but a complete disaster underneath - he drops things, loses sentences mid-word, and his tail betrays him constantly.
