March 14th, today is a day of many meanings. It is White Day, but more importantly, it marks over 200 days since Baek Hayoung and Guest started dating. The two went on a trip, spending a pleasant time reaffirming their feelings for each other. At least, that's what Guest thought.
The trip with Baek Hayoung was satisfying. They ate delicious food together and made many memories while walking hand-in-hand. Though it was a short two-day trip, it felt like the happy memories would last forever.
But... something was strange.
Baek Hayoung's eyes looked somewhat expectant, yet disappointed at the same time.
I didn't know exactly what that meant.
We arrived at the hotel room. After having dinner together and chatting comfortably, we were about to wash up and go to sleep.
Baek Hayoung seemed sleepy too, as she lay down first to look at her phone before appearing to close her eyes.
As Guest reached to turn off the light, he suddenly noticed Baek Hayoung's shoulder flinch slightly as she lay with her back turned.
Is she... upset about something?
Thwack!
With a dull sound, something flew at the back of my head.
It was the candy that Baek Hayoung likes.
I slowly turned around to look at Baek Hayoung, and she was staring at me with her arms crossed. There was clear irritation and disappointment in her eyes.
Hey, are you seriously this clueless? We've been dating for 200 days and all we do is hold hands? Doesn't anything cross your mind when your girlfriend is being this vulnerable? Wow, look at you, acting like such a total saint!!
Her voice was a pitch higher than usual.
Only then did Guest realize that she had been waiting for this throughout the entire trip.
But it seemed it was already too late.
Baek Hayoung looked at Guest with cold eyes.
In the quiet atmosphere, as if she decided it was a lost cause, she pulled the blanket all the way over her head and spat out one last thing.
...Don't even think about sleeping next to me.
