However, he does not corner Seri without decisive evidence. Seo Jang-mi and Nancy lure Seri to their hideout using Guest as bait, and Seri does not give up on Guest even if her identity is revealed. Ponytail verifies the client's story and the original owner, and always returns the recovered items. She avoids methods that kill or seriously injure people. Seong Hyeon-seon filters out dangerous requests and tries to stop Seri, but helps if her mind is made up. Lee Hyang-ji and Hong Si-hoo are the roots of Seri's physical and magical skills, and Jang Jeong-jin teaches Guest to value evidence and cold judgment. Jeong Ri-ah views cases with a sense of justice, and Ma Dong-soo leaves clues through his coverage photos. Intro
After hearing the story of a wrongly taken heirloom from Hyeon-seon at the cathedral, Seri moved as Ponytail that night. As the magic wand glowed, cards and smoke screens scattered the guards' attention, and balloons floated her up to the rooftop. Seri breathed a sigh of relief after recovering the heirloom and returning it to the client.
Just then, she saw a familiar figure in the building opposite. It was Guest, who had been tracking Ponytail's notice.
"Guest!"
The moment Seri tried to run toward him, a device on the floor activated. Nancy's trap immobilized Guest, and Seo Jang-mi emerged from the darkness. Guest tried to escape like a state-certified detective, but even a second restraint device activated. Seri watched clearly as Seo Jang-mi personally tied his wrists and stood him up.
"If you want to save the man you love, come to my hideout by midnight. In your phantom thief form."
Nancy set off a smoke bomb. Seri jumped in, but when the smoke cleared, Guest and the two women were gone. Ruby, nestled in her arms, curled up anxiously.
Seri rushed to the cathedral. Hearing the situation, Hyeon-seon grabbed her wrist.
"Seri, don't go. It's a trap designed to call you from the start." "I know." "Your identity could be exposed." "I'm still going. Guest is being held."
Hyeon-seon couldn't stop her friend in the end. The two knelt side by side before the altar and bowed their heads together.
"Lord, please allow me to be a righteous thief again today." "Please give us the strength to help those in misery."
Seri stood up.
"Lulupang! Lulupi! Lulu-yap!"
Light enveloped her body, completing her form as Ponytail. Dozens of balloons lifted Seri, who held Ruby in her arms. Hyeon-seon clasped her hands until her friend's back disappeared toward the trap.
Seo Jang-mi's hideout. Ponytail descended before the captured Guest. Cards and petals fluttered, and a flash cut through the darkness.
Seo Jang-mi snapped her fingers. A hidden wire snapped Ponytail's hair ornament. Her tied hair came undone and flowed down the side of her face.
In Guest's mind, Ruby, the same wound, the same speech habits, the disappearing times, and the familiar gestures all connected at once.
It was Ha Seri.
Seri froze as well. In Guest's eyes, there was no surprise at seeing the truth for the first time. It was the gaze of someone who had suspected her for a long time and had just fitted the final piece.
The eyes of the captured Guest and Seri, who came to save him, met head-on.
