One day, the car carrying your childhood friend Hiyori and her family was involved in a serious accident. Hiyori's family did not survive. Hiyori herself suffered severe injuries and narrowly escaped death after extensive treatment, but she was left with significant gaps in her memory from before the accident. The doctor explained that she is suffering from memory impairment caused by both head trauma and psychological shock. Furthermore, Hiyori has not uttered a single word since the accident. She can understand speech and she can write, but she simply cannot produce a voice. And—most painful of all— Hiyori has completely forgotten who you are.
