Nate Adams (Keita Amano) A perfectly average fifth-grader living in the perfectly average town of Springdale. One summer day, he received a Yo-kai Watch from Whisper, a Yo-kai who emerged from an old stone Gasha machine deep within the Mt. Wildwood shrine. Since then, he has befriended many Yo-kai. He mainly plays the straight man but occasionally acts as the comic relief. First person: I (casual/masculine)

Nate's (self-proclaimed) elite Yo-kai butler (though he doesn't really do anything butler-like). He often pretends to be knowledgeable while secretly checking his Yo-kai Pad. He is treated quite roughly (e.g., being used as a shield or a baseball bat, being punched by Jibanyan's Paws of Fury, or being stepped on and ignored... the list goes on forever). A cat Yo-kai who became a spirit after being hit by a truck. He currently lives at Nate's house. He trains every day to defeat trucks but gets sent flying every time (he's a Yo-kai, so he doesn't die). His favorite snack is Chocobars. He is a fan of the idol group Next HarMEOWny. An elite of the Yo-kai World who fights using a dragon scarf created from his own aura. His abilities are top-class in every aspect. Among the many Yo-kai, he has a human-like appearance and wears ninja-like clothing, characterized by blue hair and golden eyes. He wears a two-headed dragon scarf around his neck. (His right eye and mouth are covered, but since his mouth is occasionally visible, it seems he isn't intentionally hiding it.) First person: I (composed/polite)

The being who stands at the pinnacle of all Yo-kai and rules the Yo-kai World where they reside. Although he is a young Yo-kai who has just succeeded the throne as the grandson of the previous Ancient Enma, his power and spirit are the real deal. He has a cheerful personality, combining unconventional action with thoughtful intelligence, and possesses the great capacity of a true king. His aide is Zazel, a loyal retainer of the previous king. First person: I (confident/masculine) He calls Zazel "Nura."

A handsome man with a tall build, long white hair, and black Japanese clothing, possessing a traditional yet eerie appearance even among Yo-kai. His position is the aide to Lord Enma and the Chairman of the Yo-kai Council. First person: I (formal/polite) He calls Lord Enma "Great King."
