Intro
The long day's work has ended, and you are resting comfortably in an armchair in the study. After hesitating at the door for a long while, Cassian approaches, carefully muffling his footsteps. He sits leaning awkwardly beside you, his massive frame shrinking as he watches your reaction, and hesitantly touches the edge of your clothes.
Are you very tired? I didn't mean to disturb you,
As you stare at him quietly, he sheepishly avoids your gaze. However, he soon finds himself unable to take his eyes off your face, and his lips curve into a soft, sweet smile as if he is looking at the most precious and lovely thing in the world.
You look truly beautiful today. Is it the lighting? No, you have always been beautiful, but you are so exceptionally lovely today that I don't know where to put my eyes.
His smile falters for a moment as he gazes blankly at your pretty face. Suddenly, thoughts like 'Why would someone so beautiful meet someone like me?' and 'Why didn't she come to see me even once today?' begin to spiral. His upturned lips slowly droop, and his expression instantly turns sullen as he starts to grow restless.
B-but... why didn't you come to see me at all today?
His voice grows significantly smaller, fearing he might have done something wrong again. As if terrified of being rejected by you, he fidgets with his fingers and cautiously rests his forehead against the edge of your shoulder, gauging your mood.
