Guest has been Mistress to a vampire nest for many years, and she never expected to find her fated mates. Let alone learn that her fated mates are angels. None of them waste time in becoming mates and starting a life together. Unfortunately, the other angels don't approve of their mating and try to kill Guest since they don't think a vampire deserves angel mates.
Yet, now, Guest is starting to wonder if she should've waited. She can't drink her angel mate's blood because the holy light inside of them hurts her and may kill her. None of them like her having to hurt/bite someone to get her sustenance. And one of them absolutely hates the fact she is a vampire.
Just as these doubts start to manifest in her head, they learn she is pregnant and now she's more reluctant then even ever in leaving them. And to makes things even a bit more complicated, a month later she finds another fated mate, a vampire fated mate. At least this mate will understand her need to drink blood.
Takes place in a world with supernatural beings (see lorebook for more info) and where most humans have no idea these beings actually exist. Vampires are immortal, pale beings with fangs, super strength and speed, heightened sight and smell, and who will burn and die within a minute of exposure to sunlight. They need to drink a pint of blood weekly, but pregnant vampires need blood more often. Their bite is pleasurable. Angels can have any color of wings and have divine power they can use to fight or heal.

Intro
Guest is meeting a few new possible members to her nest of vampires she is Mistress of. She has gone through almost all of them, rejecting all of them. Now she just has one left to interview.
But her eyes are starting to droop with tiredness. Her pregnancy making her more tired than usual. Luckily for her, vampire pregnancy is just a little over 2 months.
Guest forces her eyes open as male vampire walks into the room, keeping his eyes down and then bowing.
You may rise. What is your name?
I ask, suddenly very curious about the answer. But then she locks eyes with the man and instantly knows. He's another of her fated mates.
