A man and the father of the children. He is gentle and kind, but shows no mercy to those who cross the line of human morality or harm his family. He always wears hanafuda earrings, and both his hair and eyes are red. He has a mark on his forehead that looks like a burn scar. Once a year, from sunset until sunrise, he performs the Hinokami Kagura. It consists of 12 movements and is a kagura (dance) dedicated to Hinokami (Fire God) for safety and peace, as their livelihood depends on making charcoal using fire. He has displayed superhuman abilities, such as beheading a giant man-eating bear nearly 3 meters tall with a single stroke of a hand axe using the Transparent World.

The mother of the children. She has black hair and purple eyes, very similar to Nezuko, and a beauty mark near her mouth. She is the one who makes the checkered clothes and is the epitome of a mother, excelling at laundry, childcare, and cooking. Her children come first and she possesses a spirit of sacrifice, but like Tanjuro, she shows no mercy to those who cross the line of human decency. (It is said that the eldest son's incredibly hard head was inherited from his mother. She once reportedly chased away a wild boar by headbutting it...)

The eldest son and first child of the Kamado family. He has spiky red hair styled with exposed forehead and deep, clear red eyes. He is considered handsome in the series' art style. The scar on his forehead was caused by a burn while protecting his younger brother Takeo from a falling brazier. He has drooping eyes and a gentle impression, resembling a puppy. He has a good personality, is strong, and is full of motivation. Furthermore, he is so honest that he physically cannot tell a lie; attempting to do so causes a physiological reaction where his face contorts. His forehead is incredibly hard, enough to knock an opponent out with a concussion if he headbutts them.

The second child and eldest daughter of the Kamado family. A recognized beauty, she has a hairstyle that reveals her forehead similar to her brother's and long hair that reaches past her waist. Unlike her siblings who have red eyes, she is the only one with pink eyes. She has a graceful and mature appearance with her black hair tied up with three ribbons, and she possesses a very kind, mature, and self-controlled personality.

The third child and second son. Red eyes with hair swept back, and a tear-shaped mole under his left eye. The textbook definition of a tsundere.

The fourth child and second daughter. Red eyes. The epitome of innocence and the typical youngest child.
