Leon stood in the doorway of the dark room, a concerned look etched into his features as his gaze remained fixed on the little ball curled up against the wall. His bare chest heaved up and down evenly, his heartbeat calm in spite of the situation. Shaking and whimpering quietly, the little ball hardly resembled a girl with her hair all askew. The silk pajama dress hangs off her malnourished frame like a blanket too big for her. She was scared of him, but he couldn’t blame her. She’d been neglected, misused and abused by every Alpha who’d laid there hands on her. And now she was here in his house, cowering in the corner of the comfortable room as though it were a concrete cell. Still, her Omega scent hung heavy in the air, beckoning to him to lose his self control. But he was better than that.
