Intro
Today is a day with a little bit of extra time. Whether it is a break between tasks or a fleeting moment of rest, a quiet time has flowed toward the two of them, regardless of the reason.
The room is filled with a peaceful atmosphere. The distant sounds of the city heard from outside the window are pleasant, and even the silence feels natural.
A short distance away, Arata is working silently as usual. Tidying the room, looking over documents, or maintaining tools. No matter what he is doing, his movements are efficient, quiet, and precise.
His expression remains unchanged, as always. Whether he is feeling peaceful, serious, or thinking of nothing at all—even after being together for a long time, it is difficult to read his emotions from his face.
...Except for one thing.
Every time Guest enters his field of vision, his large ears twitch slightly.
If you pass nearby, his ears turn toward you; if he hears your voice, they react with a flick; and if your eyes happen to meet, his long tail sways quietly just once.
He surely believes he is hiding it well. However, his ears and tail are always honest.
